Black Panther Movie Review

Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther. Every now and again I will review a movie that I thought was particularly great. Today’s review is about the movie Black Panther!

Where do I begin? I had the opportunity to see a screening of the Black Panther last Sunday. While I am admittedly an Avengers fan, the Black Panther movie exceeded my expectations!

It was in my opinion a long time coming and well worth the wait. Ryan Coogler out did himself. I will not give anything away. However, I will say the plot kept me anxiously waiting to see what happened next. The action scenes were absolutely exhilarating! The landscape shots were nothing short of breathtaking! The wardrobes were vibrant and stylish without going overboard. This movie is the entire package. If you are not an Avengers fan now, after seeing this movie there is a darn good chance you will be!

The cast was strong with solid acting causing you to empathize with the cause. I particularly enjoyed Miss Letitia Wright. Miss Wright portrays Shuri. Shuri is the highly intelligent, full of humor and beautiful younger sister of T’Challa aka Black Panther. Shuri like a lot of our young people is cutting edge technologically savvy. Like her brother she does not disappoint!

Finally and just as important. The Black Panther movie is a breath of fresh air when it comes to portraying people of color in movies particularly African-American men and women. More often than not I believe people of color have been portrayed in a negative light when it comes to the big screen. I am overjoyed for the opportunity for children and all of America (and beyond) to see African-Americans in a positive way.

I hope you go check out the movie Black Panther. The movie opens Friday, February 16, 2018. After you see the movie stop by my blog and let me know what you thought about it.

Super Bowl 52?

Am I the only one confused about this Super Bowl number?! Please correct me if I am wrong. Do the Roman Numerals “LI” represent the number 51? Shouldn’t this be the 51st Super Bowl played? Why is this Super Bowl being called number 52 (LII)? If anyone knows the answer to the questions above please leave a comment! Be nice!

Is it just me or am I the only one who managed to get through school not knowing (or not wanting to know) the Roman Numerals?!

Is not teaching children to write in cursive in grade school going to be the equivalent to not knowing the Roman Numeral system? Imagine not being able to sign your name on the dotted line! I hope the lines are not numbered using Roman Numerals! E signature, enter stage left! What has this world come to??

What the heck, I am only in it for the commercials anyway.
